El arte de perder no es difícil de dominar;
tantas cosas parecen colmadas por el deseo
de ser perdidas que perderlas no es un desastre.
Pierde algo cada día. Acepta la confusión de perder
la llave de la puerta, la hora malgastada.

Práctica luego perder más y más rápido:
lugares, y nombres, y adonde para ti se fue lo que significara viajar.
Ninguna te traerá el desastre.
Perdí el reloj de mi madre. ¡Y mira!
la última, o la penúltima, de tres amadas casas se fue.
El arte de perder no es difícil de dominar.
Perdí dos ciudades entrañables. Y un inmenso
reino que era mío, dos ríos y un continente.
Los extraño, pero no fue un desastre.
Ni aun perdiéndote a ti (la risueña voz, el gesto
que amo) me podré engañar. Es evidente
que el arte de perder no es difícil de dominar,
aunque pueda parecer (¡escríbelo!) como un desastre.

ONE ART
The art of losing isn’t hard to master;
so many things seem filled with the intent
to be lost that their loss is no disaster.
Lose something every day. Accept the fluster
of lost door keys, the hour badly spent.
The art of losing isn’t hard to master.
Then practice losing farther, losing faster:
places, and names, and where it was you meant
to travel. None of these will bring disaster.
I lost my mother’s watch. And look! my last, or
next-to-last, of three loved houses went.

I lost two cities, lovely ones. And, vaster,
some realms I owned, two rivers, a continent.
I miss them, but it wasn’t a disaster.
Even losing you (the joking voice, a gesture
I love) I shan’t have lied. It’s evident

A person will have to keep hold up the puppy and encourage the puppy to sit.
Reward the puppy with praise or a treat when he does walks along beside you without
pulling. Creating a social environment means puppy proofing the home, setting up boundaries and
rules and supervising, training, and providing exercise and mental stimulation.
Puppies and dogs always have to find that perfect spot to go and this always takes time.
You should be able to get two fingers between your puppy’s neck and the collar.
