Hay un hilo invisible que liga todo cuanto nos ocurre en la vida. El cómo se ensartan los acontecimientos, las relaciones y las decisiones en ese hilo es un enigma relativo. Ese hilo se parece a un estanque anegado de nenúfares. En la imagen nosotros somos la rana saltarina que elige uno u otro nenúfar sin aparente criterio. ¿A qué impulso obedece la decisión de la rana? La reflexión de Francis Scott Fitzgerald dirigida a su hija: «Tienes que tomar el camino correcto en los cruces principales; el precio de extraviarte una sola vez son años de desdicha” suena implacable; pero ¿cómo elegir el camino correcto? ¿Cómo sabe la rana dónde debe saltar? Se me ocurre que reparando en tres puntos importantes: si esa elección fomentará lo que es mejor a largo plazo para mí, si desarrollará mi caracter y mi integridad personal y si permitirá que se realice mi más profundo y auténtico yo.
En verdad, la vida hay que vivirla para aprenderla, antes no se conoce.Pero si en cada salto nos detenemos unos instantes a reflexionar sobre estas tres cuestiones, será más fácil esquivar los años de desdicha.
Microcambios 
Mantener la calma, mantener íntegra nuestra naturaleza, decidir desde la aceptación de la realidad tal como es evitando cualquier filtro ante nuestros ojos que nos impida ver con claridad.
Decidir siempre siendo nosotros mismos, evitar las decisiones cuando hemos sido tomados como rehenes de cualquier causa ajena, aprender a detectar las causas ajenas…
Ya ves, creo que con la tercera tenemos más que suficiente, las otras dos se dan por añadidura.
Confianza, sin duda sabemos cual es el mejor salto.

In » The Philosophy of Composition » (1846) Poe argued that a literary work should be short enough for a reader to finish in one sitting.
